In 3 card poker the straight flush is ranked as the highest hand. The hand consists of cards which are not only from the same suit but also forms a sequence. For instance a hand consisting of the Queen of Hearts, King of Hearts and Ace of Hearts will be a straight flush. In 3 card poker, the straight flush is the highest hand as long as there are no wild cards as it is a very difficult card to score. The highest straight flush in poker is called the Royal Flush.
Three of a kind is a hand which is made up of same cards but from different suits like a hand made up of 2 of clubs, 2 of diamonds and 2 of spades.
A straight hand is made up of 3 cards which are in a sequence but belong to different suits. For instance, a hand, made of 3 of heart, 4 of spade and 5 of diamond will be a straight hand.
In flush, all the 3 cards making up the 3 card poker hand will belong to the same suit but need not be in a sequence. So, a hand, made of 3 of hearts, 5 of hearts and 8 of hearts will be called a flush.
In a pair, two cards out of the three should be of same value, i.e. a hand having 9 of diamonds, 9 of spades and 4 of cards will be called a pair.
In a hand where all the three cards belong to different values and different suites and are not in any sequence is called a high card. A high card hand should always have a Queen or a higher card.Tags : Poker
